Size guide

Find Your tailored fit

At APLAUZ, we believe the outdated, standardized metric system serves no one — because no two bodies are the same or comparable. So instead of sticking to the rules imposed by fast fashion, we craft pieces that highlight your true strengths, especially the ones that make you, well, you!

Finding the right size is key to both comfort and confidence. That’s why we offer an extensive range from 32 to 46, with additional SHORT and LONG options, allowing you to adjust sleeve and body lengths to your proportions.

To make taking your measurements easier, we’ve prepared a detailed guide with a helpful step-by-step tutorial video.

How to take Your measurements

Grab a measuring tape and follow our guidelines in the video. You’ll find it easier (and your measurements more accurate) if you ask someone for help. Keep the tape snug against your skin, not too loose, but don’t pull it too tight either.

Respect your body and muscles, every cell and the space it needs. Every measurement is the right one because it represents your body — one of a kind. We’re just translating it into the language of fabric.

Bust

Measure your bust at its fullest point, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. It should pass over the nipples, under the arms, across the shoulder blades and around your back. Make sure the tape stays at the same height in the front and back. For the most accurate results, measure yourself while wearing a bra (and a fitted top if measuring for a show jacket).

Waist

To find your natural waistline, tie a string around your waist — it will naturally settle at the narrowest part of your torso. Then, measure around this point exactly where the string sits, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor (and don’t suck in your belly).

Hips

Measure at the fullest part of your hips, wrapping the tape around them. To ensure you’re measuring the fullest point, slide the tape slightly up and down to see if the circumference hits a more convex spot. At the back, the tape should sit at the fullest part of your buttocks. Keep the tape straight and level.

Front torso length

Measure from the base of your neck (where the neck meets the shoulder) straight down, passing over the fullest point of your bust (nipple), to the bottom edge of the string tied around your waist.

Back torso length

Start measuring from the seventh cervical vertebra (you’ll feel that little round bone on the nape of your neck), run the tape down the center of your back and stop at the bottom edge of the string tied around your waist.

Sleeve length

Place the measuring tape at the shoulder bone (the small protruding bone at the top of your arm) and run it down the outer side of your arm to the wrist. Slightly bend your elbow to ensure the final sleeve length isn’t too short when you move your arm.

Arm circumference

Wrap the tape around the widest part of your upper arm (bicep). Keep your arm in a natural, relaxed position.

Size chart

For SHORT and LONG versions, sleeve lengths are adjusted by ±1.5 cm from the base measurement.
